Welcome friends!

Welcome to A in the Apple! I’m Adrienne—a travel enthusiast with a deep love for good food, great wine, and life’s little adventures. Not long ago, I was living in Lausanne, Switzerland, waking up to the serene shores of Lake Geneva and wandering through vineyard-lined villages. Today, I call New York City home, trading Alpine peaks for skyscrapers and fondue for slices of pizza (though I’ll always say yes to Swiss chocolate).

I live here with my wonderful husband, Zach, and our spirited pup, Mac. While our base has moved from cobblestone streets to city sidewalks, one thing hasn’t changed: we’re still exploring every chance we get. From European hill towns to hidden gems across the U.S. and beyond, travel remains at the heart of our lives.

My passion for discovering the world began early, thanks to my parents encouraging me to venture far beyond our Oklahoma backyard. That wanderlust truly took flight during a semester in Florence, Italy, where I started my first blog—mostly to share my adventures (and frequent misadventures).

Now, this space is a continuation of that journey—a blend of curated travel guides, culinary finds, cultural quirks, and honest stories from life abroad and life in between. Whether you’re here for inspiration, itineraries, or a laugh at my ongoing faux pas (now in French and occasional New York slang), I hope you’ll feel right at home.

Thank you for joining me on this journey—now let’s explore life with flavor and flair!
